I won a copy of this book. Jill Reed writes the advice column for her school paper. But when the tables are turned, can she take her own advice? Why does she think she can fix everyone else’s problems? Can she fix her own? These questions are all answered in this well written and entertaining YA book. I liked the characters and enjoyed following their lives and challenges. The characters grew and evolved. The story is touching as it explores the emotions and conflicts faced by many teens today. Dylan really stole the spotlight for me. He is charming and sweet as he inserts himself into Jill and Amanda’s friendship. Several scenes had me laughing out loud while others had me tearing up. There were also several twists in the plot that caught me by surprise. I would love to say more but I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone. Overall a great book with a thoughtful story, this is a clean read and appropriate for all ages. Please share this delightful story.

Fun story, well worth reading!

Tristi Pinkston is an excellent writer, as well as a fantastic editor, and so her books are the best! While many books today are filled with typos, incorrect grammar, and plot holes that throw a reader off track, Tristi's books are always a very clean read. Beyond Tristi's excellent editing abilities, however, I loved this story line. It kept a beyond-middle-aged woman (me!) interested -- not only because it was clean and had a fun plot (teenage advice columnist learns a few lessons about giving advice), but because the main character, Jill Reed, had a good sense of humor. Any book that's clean, has a fun plot, contains humor, AND has very few typos (if any), is worth it's weight in gold. At least worth 5 gold stars, for sure!
(Please note that although I know Tristi, I haven't been in contact with her for quite some time, and she did not ask me to review this book. I ran across it at Amazon and the book's blurb hooked me.)

Fantastic ya romance

I read most of this on wattpad a long time ago and was so excited to see it fleshed out and awesome! Jill thinks she knows what she's talking about, until her world gets turned inside out! Luckily, she has awesome friends like Dylan and Amanda and a terrific frenemy like Bruce! A great teen friendship forms!
