insightful and practical

Bobbi gives a great overview for the classroom with many practical ideas for the teacher who embraces a whole language approach. I have modeled much of my classroom after the book and have found it very successful with all of my learners as well as my own sense of well being. I highly recommend it! My first year of teaching kindergarten, I read it constantly and to this day it is a book that I do not lend out to colleagues because I can't bear to part with it.

Required Reading

I had to purchase this for a class, but am so glad I did. If you want to be a kindergarten teacher you'll love this book it's loaded with information and ideas. I loved it and am keeping it for my library.
