This book pulls everything together and sequences it in a meaningfil order as it walks through how the whole system fits together to run your business. It focuses on industry specific issues too which is very helpful.

Another Winner for the Dynamics AX community

Being a 25+ year manufacturing professional and an 8+ year Dynamics AX professional, I have seen the evolution of this product. Scott Hamilton is, if not the foremost authority, certainly one of the foremost authorities in the Dynamics AX community. I have all his books and consider them among the most valuable of all of my resources. His books are well written, accurate, and entertaining. What sets him apart is that he has the real life experience to paint the visual picture with actual scenarios that he has participated in. Whether you are just starting in a new area of knowledge or expanding and existing one Scotts books are valuable.
In short, if I am trying to get up to speed on a new discipline or honing my skills, I look to see if Scott has written anything on the subject matter.
"Food Products Manufacturing using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012" is no exception. In a time where we are scrambling to obtain the necessary knowledge to effectively implement this exciting new product, this book gives us important information that does not currently exist anywhere else. My personal experience in manufacturing has been mostly discrete manufacturing. The description of business processes and case studies (on different types of food product businesses) really helped me understand the capabilities of Dynamics AX 2012. I can see myself using the book as a reference book to quickly refresh/clarify specific functionality or concepts on AX 2012.
